A home for your practice

Atelier is built for artists with a serious practice — a place to present your work, build an audience, cultivate long-term supporters, and earn from your practice beyond individual sales.

Your profile, portfolio, journal, exhibitions, shop, and memberships live together in one place. Atelier is operated by Xochi Art Gallery, so when a high-value sale needs care and serious handling, there is a gallery you can trust beside you.

The short version

Create a public home for your practice. Share your work, write about what you're making, announce exhibitions, and build a following around your work.

Offer monthly or yearly memberships to people who want to support your practice more closely. Sell original works, editions, and prints under €2,000 directly through your shop. For higher-value artworks, Xochi Art Gallery can step in and handle the sale with you and the collector.

There are no upfront costs, monthly subscriptions, or listing fees to join Atelier.

Your profile

A dedicated home for your practice — not a social media feed.

Present your biography, portrait, selected works, CV, exhibitions, journal, shop, and memberships in one considered space. Visitors can understand who you are, what you make, and where your practice is going.

Your work

Build your portfolio with high-resolution images, titles, medium, year, dimensions, and other details that give collectors context.

Portfolio works don't have to be for sale. Keep your wider body of work visible while choosing separately which pieces, editions, or prints to offer through your shop.

Sell your work

Offer original works, editions, and prints through your shop.

Each listing includes images, a description, price, edition details, and shipping options. You control your shipping zones and postage by country group.

Buy now

List works priced at €2,000 or less in your shop. Collectors check out online through Stripe — payment, postage, and order details are handled in Atelier.

You manage listings, orders, and tracking from Studio. After a sale, you pack and ship the work with tracked delivery and add the tracking number so both you and the buyer have a clear record.

Funds go to your verified Stripe Connect account after Atelier and Stripe fees are deducted.

Atelier takes 10%, plus Stripe fees.

Gallery-assisted sales

For works priced above €2,000, buyers can send an inquiry directly from the listing.

Xochi Art Gallery follows up, screens for scams and unserious contact, and only brings you genuine inquiries. From there, Xochi coordinates payment and logistics with you and the collector — so higher-value sales have gallery support instead of leaving you to manage the transaction alone.

Xochi takes 20% commission.

Memberships

Turn an audience into ongoing support for your practice.

Create monthly or yearly membership tiers and decide what you want to share with supporters — studio notes, process, early previews, members-only posts, or anything that makes sense for your practice.

People can follow you for free and receive your public updates, or become paying members for a closer relationship with your work.

Memberships can give you recurring income between sales.

Journal & writing

Share the thinking and making behind your work.

Publish studio updates, process notes, dispatches, or longer-form writing. Posts can be public or reserved for members.

You can also publish Articles for more developed editorial writing.

Exhibitions

Keep your exhibition history and upcoming shows connected to your practice.

Create exhibition pages with dates, venue, description, and featured works. Exhibitions appear on your profile and in Atelier's What's On feed, and group exhibitions can include other artists on the platform.

CV

Keep your professional record alongside your work.

Build a structured CV covering education, solo and group exhibitions, collections, publications, and awards — all in one place and connected to your profile.

Followers & discovery

People can follow your practice for free and see your public updates and exhibitions in their Following feed.

Verified artists appear in Discover, live exhibitions in What's On, and editorial writing in Reads — giving your work places to be discovered beyond your own profile.

Shipping & fulfilment

Set your origin country and create shipping zones for national, European, worldwide, or custom destinations.

For each listing, set the tracked-delivery postage you want to charge. When a buy-now order comes in, Studio gives you the buyer's shipping details and guides you through marking the work as shipped and adding tracking.

Seller knowledge in Studio covers packing by work type, insurance, customs, and what to do if something goes wrong in transit.

Payments

All Atelier payments are processed through Stripe.

Buy-now sellers complete Stripe Connect onboarding, including the identity and business checks required for payouts. After the applicable Atelier and Stripe fees are deducted, funds are paid to your verified bank account through your Stripe Connect account.

Card details are never exchanged through messages, and 3D Secure helps protect eligible card transactions. Stripe handles payment disputes, with packing photos and tracking providing a clear record of fulfilment.

Fees

There are no upfront costs, monthly subscriptions, or listing fees for artists on Atelier.

Atelier takes a percentage when you earn through the platform:

  • Memberships: 10% platform fee, plus applicable Stripe processing fees.
  • Buy-now shop sales: 10% platform fee, plus applicable Stripe processing fees.
  • Gallery-facilitated sales: 20% commission.

Stripe processing fees vary depending on the payment method, country, and currency. For standard EEA cards, Stripe currently charges 1.5% + €0.25 per transaction; for UK cards, 2.5% + €0.25. For other methods and local rates, see Stripe's current pricing.

Gallery backing

Atelier is operated by Xochi Art Gallery.

For gallery-facilitated sales, Xochi is directly involved with both artist and collector — coordinating payment, delivery, and follow-up.

For buy-now sales, you handle packing and shipping yourself, but you have a clear order flow, seller guidance, and Studio tools behind you.

Verification

Atelier isn't an open marketplace.

Artists are reviewed before they appear publicly. We look for formal training, a committed practice, and a clear body of work.

The result is a more considered environment for artists and collectors alike — one built around serious practices rather than anonymous listings.

Your content & copyright

You retain ownership of the work you publish on Atelier. The platform receives only the rights needed to host, display, and promote it.
