About
Artist statement
Belfast
Jonah Reilly is a sculptor and installation artist based in Belfast (b. 1997). He completed a BA in Fine Art at Belfast School of Art in 2021 and works between the studio and borrowed industrial spaces.
His practice turns remnant materials — felt, steel, rubber, timber offcuts — into soft architectures that lean, sag, and take the measure of a room. The work is concerned with yards, waiting, and the afterlife of industry without nostalgia.
Recent presentations include After Industry at South London Gallery (2025) and group exhibitions in Belfast and Dublin.
