About
Artist statement
Cork, Ireland
Elena Voss lives and works in Cork after study in Düsseldorf. Large canvases of interior light — rented rooms, borrowed studios, the colour of a northern afternoon through dirty glass.
Paint is mixed slowly. She works from memory as much as from the room in front of her, and keeps small panel studies for the moments between larger paintings.
