About
Dublin, Ireland
Aoife Nic Eoin is a curator and writer working between institutions and independent projects. She is preparing Tide Lines at the Hugh Lane Gallery, a solo presentation of Maeve Cullen’s recent coastal paintings.
Her interest is in how a public gallery holds a painter’s tempo — the slow mix, the scrape, the work that does not announce itself. She writes for catalogues and for a small membership of readers who want the longer argument.

View postThe Hugh Lane is not a commercial room. That changes the contract with a painter — and with the public who will stand in front of the work on a Tuesday afternoon.
